Tens of thousands of individuals, some still reeling from the Depression, others gripped by anxiety and fear as loved ones fought overseas in the most devastating war any of them had known, came from all across the United States to a city not found on any map. They were forbidden to talk about their work, even to each other. They worked around the clock on a project, the details of which were not explained, to save their country. What they created would change the war and the world forever. Rosie, it turns out, did much more than drive rivets.
