Owls In Love!  Did you know that in the deep of winter Great Horned Owls and other raptors are already hooting to their mates and making nests? The Lakeshore Nature Preserve had at least 2 Great Horned Owl nest locations last year. We will hike easy trails to look and listen for "Hoo-Hoo-Hooooo" Great Horned Owls, "Who Cooks for Yooooou?" Barred Owls, giant "KaaaKaaaKaaaaKaaak" Pileated Woodpeckers and other Wisconsin winter birds that are chirping, pecking and calling in Bills Woods and other sheltered spots.  Free, family friendly nature outing followed by a campfire and hot chocolate.
