South Pleasant View Road between Valley View Road and Old Sauk Road is now open for traffic.

Streets Division crews were dispatched at 4:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2019 to plow the snow and apply sand. Temperatures are too cold for salt use, so sand has been applied to provide traction.

Roadway users on South Pleasant View should be prepared for potentially slippery conditions as the road may still be snow covered in parts. The road will likely remain snow-covered until temperatures rise above 20 degrees and the Streets Division can apply salt to melt the snow pack.

Madison residents and those traveling through the city regularly in the winter are encouraged to sign up to receive snowplow updates on the City of Madison winter website to learn how the Streets Division crews respond to each snow event.
