Streets Division Drop-off Site at 402 South Point Rd Now Open

The drop-off site at 402 South Point Road is now open.

This location will be the new west side drop-off facility while the Badger Road location is closed.

South Point will accept brush, yard waste, recycling, trash, electronics, batteries, and other material that had been accepted at the Badger Rd site.

You will not be able to purchase recycling fee stickers at South Point. You must plan ahead if you are dropping off an item that requires a fee. Additional details can be found below about how to purchase a fee sticker for drop-off.

Hours of Operation
During the first week of South Point being open, the drop-off site will operate on winter hours. Below are the hours for the first week.

  • Tuesday, March 29: 7:30am – 2:30pm
  • Wednesday, March 30: Closed
  • Thursday, March 31: 7:30am – 2:30pm
  • Friday, April 1: 7:30am – 2:30pm
  • Saturday, April 2: Closed
  • Sunday, April 3: Closed

Expanded summer hours begin on Monday, April 4, 2022. More details about the expanded hours can be found on the Streets Division’s drop-off site website.

How to Purchase a Recycling Fee Sticker
Certain items require a fee for drop off or curbside pickup. The list can be found on the Streets Division’s website.

In order for an item that requires a fee to be accepted at the drop-off site, the item must have the appropriate recycling fee sticker affixed to it.

You have four options to purchase a fee sticker.

  1. Online
Use the work order system at www.cityofmadison.com/LargeItemWorkOrder.
 
After completion your purchase, the appropriate stickers will be mailed to you.
  1. Call
You can call our offices and make a credit card purchase over the phone.
 
The appropriate fee sticker will be mailed to your home following the purchase.
 
If you live east of South Park Street, you can call 608-246-4532. If you live west of South Park Street, you can call 608-266-4681.
  1. In-Person
You can also purchase the stickers in person from our offices.
 
The offices are located at 1501 W. Badger Rd and 4602 Sycamore Ave. The offices will be open 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday. In person, you can use cash, check, or credit cards.
 
Stickers are not available at the Streets Division locations at 121 E. Olin Ave. and 402 South Point Rd.
  1. Mail
Checks can be mailed to our office to purchase the fee stickers. You must also include a note explaining the purchase.
 
The check should be payable to City Treasurer.
