The City of Madison offers optional Long Term Care (LTC) insurance. Although the City does not contribute towards the premium for this benefit, employees may purchase insurance at a group discounted rate. Policies are available to permanent employees, retirees, spouses, partners, parents, and children.

LTC costs are often overlooked as employees plan for retirement. Many do not foresee the possibility that someday they or a spouse, parent or other loved one may need long-term care.
