Tonight we kick off the first of five MFD-themed events as part of the YMCA's "Friday Nights at the Y" series. We're happy to partner with the Madison Police Department and the Dane County Department of Human Services in providing a variety of fun activities for teens ages 13-18.

I hope you'll join me and some of our firefighters tonight at the Lussier Family West YMCA, 5515 Medical Circle, from 8:00-11:30 p.m. I'll be playing basketball, and a few of us will be playing volleyball or dodge ball, too.

We'll also teach youth First Aid and CPR. These are important skills to have, and we hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to learn from our skilled firefighters.

We're looking forward to talking about firefighting as a career and answering questions about what we do. We'll even give you a taste of firefighting conditioning!

Be sure to join us tonight--and at all of our MFD-themed "Friday Nights at the Y"--as we build a stronger community in the City of Madison.

Upcoming MFD Theme Nights:
June 12th (East)
July 24th (West)
August 14th (East)
September 4th (West)
