Assessor
The Office of the City Assessor, through the Real Property Lister position, receives and reviews all recorded documents for property located in the City and establishes parcel numbers for new parcels, new certified survey maps, parcel splits and parcel combinations.
As development proceeds, the Assessor’s Office will contact the property owner to discuss any sales of property or any changes occurring to the property to aid in establishing new assessments. Assessments are always specific to January 1st for any year and reflect the value of the property as it existed on that date.
