The first three meetings, held over the past four months, discussed project background, goals and objectives, existing conditions and a wide range of street design alternatives. The April 9, PIM will be focused on some additional refinements to some of the street design options, specifically for the block between Broom to Henry. Alternatives will present different ways of accommodating cyclists - including conventional bike lanes, a contra-flow bike lane, and a protected bike facility. The alternatives will also show ways to accommodate parking and loading requirements along the corridor. Wilson Street, from Broom St. to Henry St., is scheduled for utility replacement and resurfacing in 2019. Prior to construction, the City has been conducting a corridor study on Wilson St. between Broom St. and Blair St., and three public meetings have been held on the study.
