In addition to our regularly scheduled “Meet the Author” Program, we are fortunate to offer a presentation by Edward L. Powe, Ph.D. in African Languages and Literature and a BA in Spanish, Wednesday, October 28 at 10 am.  Edward has traveled extensively in Africa, India, the Indian Ocean, Latin America, Indonesia and Melanesia.  Edward has been a writer since 1992 and written and published over 100 titles to date.  Founded in 1987, DAN AIKI PUBLICATIONS has its major goal the exaltation and popularization of the cultural and literary heritage of peoples of African, Melanesian, and/or Dravidian origin.  His works can be divided into six main categories:  graphic novels, martial arts, narrative verse, children’s books, black culture and how to teach yourself a language.  We are lucky to bring this amazing author to discuss his books to the Madison Senior Center.
