What's In That Box? with Paul Noeldner ~ Enjoy an informal family-friendly walk with Master Naturalist Paul Noeldner to look for boxes on poles - sure signs of Accommodation Architecture - and other ways that empathetic humans can help accommodate native birds, bugs and wildlife alongside our daily lives and other priorities.  Learn about making bat houses, monitoring bluebird trails, installing wood duck and kestrel boxes, creating swallow nest ledges, raising martin poles, offering platforms for owls and ospreys, building chimney swift towers, bundling stems to make bug hotels, and more!  Fall and winter outings may include a campfire and hot chocolate.

Enjoy an informal family and kid-friendly nature walk around the scenic Warner Pond lagoon and across Castle Creek to discover the wetlands, woods and prairie in the Wild Side of Warner Park and the birds and other creatures that call it home! Walks at Warner Park held on the 3rd Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Wild Warner and Madison Audubon. Meet at the colorful Warner Park Shelter by the lagoon. Parking is available nearby. No registration required. No pets are allowed.
