The Parking Division is taking a proactive approach to some intermittent credit processing outages that will arise due to important system upgrades. To mitigate as much impact to the public as possible, the work will occur on Sundays in April, when garage use is at its lowest.

This upgrade will affect the use of credit and debit cards at City-owned parking garages and lots. Cash payments will be required while monthly pass cards should see no disruption.
Dates and anticipated outage time frames:

  • Sunday, April 11, 2021 from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm

For the initial outage on April 11, staff will be present in entry booths for the State Street Campus garage at both Lake and Frances Street, during the expected peak times of the outage, approximately 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Staff will be present to assist patrons at all other facilities. Notifications are currently posted on pay-on-foot and entry/exit stations, indicating the disruption to credit card processing and requesting cash payments.

The Parking Division will review usage data following the initial outages to determine if staffing changes are needed for the following two dates for each facility.

Visit the Parking Division Website for any necessary updates throughout this process.
