"It’s difficult to pick a favorite from this year’s lineup,” said Wisconsin Book Festival Director Conor Moran. “There are incredibly timely books about topics of national importance like gender equity, representation in the public sphere, and the ideas that make us who we are. We have Wisconsin authors writing in every genre, and the quality of our audiences and events continues to make Madison a marquee event destination."

In addition to the festival each fall, the Wisconsin Book Festival offers author events throughout the year. Upcoming events before the festival include: Samantha Power for The Education of an Idealist (September 24); Anna-Lisa Cox for The Bone and Sinew of the Land (September 26), Aaron Bobrow-Strain for The Death and Life of Aida Hernandez (October 2), and Michael McDonnell for Masters of Empire (October 11).

“The Wisconsin Book Festival is central to our library’s mission of providing free and equitable access to cultural and educational experiences. The Festival is a celebration of ideas, and we invite the community to meet the authors and feel the wonderment of how books connect people and enrich their lives,” said Greg Mickells, Library Director.
