Madison Water Utility announces the Water Utility Board's decision to increase its number of meetings to two each month to allow the board to thoroughly consider matters before them.

The new schedule will begin in October, with meetings October 9 and October 23 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Water Utility's 119 East Olin Avenue offices. The board may return to a once-monthly meeting if that is indicated after some months of the new schedule.

Meetings of the board are open to the public and provide an opportunity for public comment. Agendas are available online through the City's web site (http://legistar.cityofmadison.com/calendar/#current), with print copies posted in Room 110 of the City County Building and available at the Utility's Olin Avenue offices one week in advance of scheduled meetings.

Each month's first meeting will focus on topics of special interest such as well siting, strategic planning and manganese. Routine agenda items such as water quality and operations reporting will be presented at the second meeting of the month.
