At 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, S & L Underground will close North Blair Street for reconstruction. 

North Blair Street will be fully closed from East Gorham Street to East Washington Avenue.  Work will not extend into the East Johnson Street intersection.  East Gorham Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic during off peak hours only. 

Bicyclists on the East Mifflin Street Bike Boulevard will need to walk their bikes through the North Blair Street intersection—similar to the current construction at North Hancock Street.

Although two lanes of traffic will remain open at all times on East Johnson Street, there will be afternoon traffic delays caused by the closure of the “right turn only” lane onto North Blair Street.  Drivers should plan for extra travel time on Johnson Street on weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

This project is expected to last until the end of August.
