Monday, March 18, 2019 - 4:08pm
Residents of Madison join with those in Christchurch in mourning the recent senseless murder of 49 people at two mosques. We share their outrage at this hate crime and applaud their strength as they work to support the many families who have lost loved ones and work to heal the many injured worshippers.
Madison is also a community that welcomes and celebrates diversity, compassion and kindness. Leaders and residents of our City are sending strength to our sisters and brothers in Christchurch as well as our condolences.
Officers and leadership of the Madison Police Department are working with our local Muslim community on security issues during this trying time.
