The next public tour of Starkweather Creek is April 14 (raindate of April 15). The follow-up public meeting is scheduled for April 26.

The purpose of the public tour and meeting is to provide input in the City of Madison Parks Division's development of a natural area restoration plan for the three public properties along Starkweather Creek. Please note that bike trail planning will be done separately by the Engineering Department.

The tour on April 14 will be from 1:00p.m.-3:00p.m. Participants will be walking each site and taking private cars to the next. It will begin at 393 Blettner Blvd at 1:00p.m. The next stop will be at 4501 Lien Road at 2:00p.m. The last stop is at 2005 East Springs Drive at 2:30p.m. The tour will traverse wild areas, so dress accordingly.

The follow-up public meeting is Thursday, April 26, 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m. at Olbrich Botanical Gardens. At this meeting, the public will prioritize land management strategies for the Starkweather properties.
