Hilldale Storefronts Available for Art Installations

The Madison Arts Commission, in collaboration with Hilldale, is pleased to announce a call for proposals for BLINK Storefronts. Three proposals will be selected to create a series of temporary art installations and/or pop-up galleries in the Hilldale storefronts adjacent the Sundance Theater. The program is intended to activate vacant spaces through art and provide exposure to area artists from the foot traffic generated by the theater and the newly renovated spaces at Hilldale.

We will invite artists to install their BLINK projects in storefronts at Hilldale from September 28 - November 1. We are looking for installation proposals that will make those storefronts come alive, especially on October 2, Madison's fall gallery night.

Think lighter, quicker, cheaper, because the funding levels for this project are limited to $500 and the deadline is right around the corner. Funding for this initiative is being generously provided by Hilldale.

Keep it family friendly because we cannot accept any work depicting nudity, obscene or controversial subject matter.

Deadline to Apply: Tuesday, September 1, 2015.
