Make up collections for the Monday collection district will begin on Thursday, January 31

Refuse and recycling collections return to their regular schedule for Tuesday, January 29. Carts in the Tuesday collection area should be placed to the curb by 7:00 a.m. to ensure pick up.

Residents who have a scheduled Monday pick-up day for refuse can recycling are encouraged to hold their carts until their next scheduled pick-up day (February 4).

If residents in the Monday collection district have full carts and cannot wait, they can set their carts out for pickup on Thursday, January 31. Carts must be out prior to 7:00 a.m. on that date to ensure collection. Carts in the Monday district not collected on January 31 should be left at the curb so crews can empty them on Friday, February 1.

At this time, there are no planned delays for refuse and recycling collection related to the extreme cold forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Collection carts in these neighborhoods should be placed to the curb by 7:00 a.m on their scheduled day to ensure they are emptied. If operations are adjusted in response to the temperatures, the information will be shared. Please continue watching the Streets Division website for updates.

Large item collection and Christmas tree collection are suspended for the entire week. Residents are encouraged to hold these items until collections resume the week of February 4.

The drop-off sites at 1501 W. Badger Rd. and 4602 Sycamore Ave. remain closed for the entire week as well. They will reopen for winter hours beginning on Monday, February 4.
