Madison Parks and Dane County Parks are offering a permit-free day on Saturday, May 25 at four local disc golf courses. Each course offers its own unique landscape and features:

City of Madison Parks Courses

  • Elver Park (18 holes): well designed with plenty of risk and reward scoring opportunities through grasslands and pine plantations, Elver disc golf course provides changing elevations, multiple tee pads and beautiful vistas.
  • Hiestand (18 holes): dual tees and multiple pin placements through rolling hills and moderate elevations, Hiestand disc golf now offers blue Innova DISCatcher Pro 28s for long positions.

Dane County Parks Courses

  • Vallarta-Ast (27 holes): recognized as one of the top courses in the United States and hosts national and worldwide competitions.
  • Capital Springs (18 holes): laid out over rolling glacial drumlins surrounded by picturesque prairie areas. This course offers bicycle access off the Capital City Trail.

To access these courses outside of the free day, a daily or annual Disc Golf Permit is required.
