Only Lot 45 Will Be Available

The University of Wisconsin We Conserve group will maintain one drop-off site for movers to leave useable goods and recycle electronics instead of two.  This amends yesterday’s information that stated that there would be two sites available.

The one drop-off site will be located at University of Wisconsin parking lot 45, which is located at 165 N. Mills Street. There will not be a drop-off site at UW parking lot 41.

At Lot 45, movers will be able to take useable unwanted items, like clothes, furniture, and other household items, for the Donate and Take event.  Movers also will be able to pick up items they may need for their new apartment.  At this site, there will be a free electronics recycling station that will accept televisions, gaming systems, batteries, and other broken, outdated, or otherwise unneeded electronic devices.  Lot 45 will also host a food donation station for the Open Seat Food Pantry.

The donation site at Lot 45 will be available to movers at the following dates and times:

  • August 12, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • August 13, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • August 14, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • August 15, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • August 16, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
  • August 17, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

There is no change to the drop-off donation site maintained by St. Vincent de Paul. This drop-off site will be at the U-Haul location at 602 W. Washington Ave.  This site will be open at the following dates and times:

  • August 12, 1p.m.-7p.m.
  • August 13, 11a.m.-7p.m.
  • August 14, 10a.m.-2p.m.
