Road repavement on Mineral Point Road from Gammon Road to the W. Beltline began on Monday, July 16th, and is expected to last until October 19th. The project includes replacement of the two driving lanes and the median curb and gutter. The bus lanes will not be replaced with this project, but are scheduled to be replaced in 2008.

Two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained during peak hours -- between 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM, and between 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. During non-peak hours, travel may be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists should expect delays.

The project is divided into four sections. Sections 1 and 3 will be replaced in the first phase, occurring from July 16th to August 16th. In the second phase of the project, Section 2 and Section 4 are expected to begin August 16th.

During each phase, right turns in and out of all driveways and side streets will be maintained. Vehicles will not be able to make left turns through the medians.
