Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway will deliver opening remarks to participants and visitors to
Madison’s first Transportation and Innovation Expo on Thursday morning. The City collaborated with
Wisconsin Clean Cities and Alliant Energy to plan the event with the common goal of environmental
sustainability in transportation.

The centerpiece of the Expo will be the vehicle and equipment displays and booths. The City will display
ten different types of late-model vehicles featuring alternative fuels such as electric, hybrid, biodiesel, a
solar sign-board, and anti-idling technology. There will be 40 additional exhibitors from the public,
private and non-profit sectors presenting the latest in products, services and technology in the
transportation and environmental sustainability sectors.

Speakers and panelists from the mid-west will discuss electric vehicle adoption, funding for new
technologies, driverless vehicle technology, mass transit, Bus Rapid Transit and other topics. City of
Madison staff will be involved in the presentations as well.

Attendance and parking at the Alliant Energy Center is free to the public.
