Madison Parks Open Monday for Winter Fun

Thanks to the winter weather Madison Parks is open for winter fun. We are open early at Elver and Vilas shelters today - Monday, January 28. All cross-country ski trails are open. Elver, Odana Hills and Yahara Hills trails are groomed for skate and classic skiing. Elver ice rink, Vilas ice rinks and Tenney hockey rink are open. A portion of the Tenney lagoon will open later today.

Elver Park - 1250 McKenna Blvd.
SHELTER OPEN: 11:00am to 8:00pm
The general ice rink is open, trails are groomed, and the sledding hill open. The shelter is staffed for ski, skate, sled and snowshoe rentals and concessions. The west trails, sledding hill, and rink are lit for nighttime recreation.
Equipment Rentals Available:

Figure & Hockey Skates
$6 per hour/ Adults (ages 16 & older)
$3 per hour/ children (ages 15 & younger)
$2 each additional hour
Hockey sticks $2/hour
Snowshoes by the hour: $5/Adults, $2/Children 15 and younger; $2/additional hour
Sleds: $2/per hour, or purchase $20/sled
Cross-Country Skis: $9/ adult hour and $5/ youth hour
Sit Skis - accessible one-person ski: $9/adult hour and $5/youth hour

Tenney Park – 402 N. Thornton Ave.
SHELTER OPEN: 3:00 to 9:00pm
The hockey rink is open. The lagoon at Tenney Park will be open by 3:00pm today. The shelter is open 3:00-9:00pm for skate (figure and hockey) rentals and concessions.

Vilas Park - 1602 Vilas Park Dr.
SHELTER OPEN: 1:00 to 8:00pm
The general and hockey rinks are open. The shelter is staffed for concessions and skate (figure and hockey) rentals 1:00-8:00pm. Cash or check only accepted at Vilas.
