Madison Parks Celebrates Earth Day with Lake View Elementary School
20th Annual Warner Park Cleanup

Madison Parks is pleased to continue our partnership with Lake View Elementary School in celebration of Earth Day, Arbor Day, and the United Way’s Global Youth Service Day.

For 20 years, we have hosted an annual event complete with a tree planting, park clean up and other special events with the students of Lake View Elementary School. On Friday, April 24, 2015 at 11:30 am we continue the tradition. Beginning at 11:15 am, all of Lake View Elementary students will walk from their school to Warner Park (2930 N. Sherman Ave.). The City of Madison Police Department will provide an escort across Northport Drive and Sherman Avenue.

At 11:30 am, we will begin the tree planting program near the Warner Park shelter with special guests, Kristi Kloos, Principal, Lake View Elementary School, Katie Crawley from the Mayor’s office, George Dreckmann, City of Madison, Lauren Rock, a Representative of Global Youth Service Day from United Way of Dane County, Lake View Students, Maynard the Mallard, Scoopie, Madison Parks representatives, other local dignitaries and the Lake View 5th Grade Student Senators.

Madison Parks would like to thank everyone who has made this annual event such a success for the past 20 years!
