Ever wonder what happens to the dead or dying tree or the tree damaged by the storm after they are removed?  For a limited time, Madison Parks is offering local, urban wood logs in an online auction. 42 logs are available for purchase in varying sizes from 6 to 20 feet in length and 12 to 40 inches in diameter. Species include white pine, sugar maple, black walnut, bur and white oak, shagbark hickory, black cherry, American and Siberian elm and 12 green ash.

Bidding begins at just $5 and continues through Monday, November 21. To access bidding and more information, including photos and original location (by zip code) visit Wisconsin Surplus – #16858-25 Multi Municipal – Multi Location

Buyers should be made aware that ash logs may not be removed from the EAB quarantine (unless certain USDA-APHIS requirements are met).   An Emerald Ash Borer quarantine map can always be found here.

Buyers should also be aware that all logs may not be removed from the GM quarantine (unless certain USDA-APHIS requirements are met).   A Gypsy moth quarantine map can always be found here.
