Scheduled large item collection for February, 18, 2020 will be delayed.

Residents who have placed large items to the curb for today’s scheduled collection may leave them in place. Collection will be made up as soon as possible in the coming days.

In response to yesterday’s snowstorm, the Streets Division plowing operations are continuing on the morning of February 18, 2020. Therefore, only very limited personnel is available to perform large item collection, which will cause delays in providing this service.

Recycling and refuse collection are continuing on February 18, 2020 without delay.

As a reminder, Streets Division crews will not be able to collect items buried under snow. If a large item has been buried at the curb due to the last night’s snowfall or the subsequent plowing, residents should remove the item from the snow to ensure pickup once the makeup collections are underway.

Residents with large items at the curb can also take them to a Streets Division drop-off site for disposal. The sites are located at 1501 W. Badger Rd and 4602 Sycamore Ave. The drop-off sites are still on winter hours, which means they are open 7:30am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday.

Additional information about large item collection, the 2020 collection schedule, and the drop-off sites can be found at the Streets Division’s website, www.cityofmadison.com/streets.
