MADISON, WI – April 19, 2016

Imagine Madison, the process to update the City of Madison’s Comprehensive Plan Update will hold four public community meetings across the city to gather community input on strategies to achieve community goals and discuss how Madison should develop.

Public community meetings will be held on:

  • Tuesday, April 25, at Warner Park Community Recreation Center (1625 Northport Dr.)
  • Thursday, April 27, at Cherokee Heights Middle School (4301 Cherokee Dr.)
  • Monday, May 1, at Central Library (201 W Mifflin St.)
  • Wednesday, May 3, at La Follette High School (702 Pflaum Rd.)

The agenda and schedules for all four meetings will be identical. The events will start with an open house from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. An interactive presentation and small group activities will take place from 6:30-7:45 p.m. Community members will be asked to identify the strategies the City should pursue to accomplish the community goals identified in Phase 1 of Imagine Madison. Meeting participants will also be able to see recommendations for an updated Future Land Use Map and offer input on how the city should grow and develop.

Refreshments and childcare will be provided. Spanish and Hmong interpreters will be at each meeting.
