Due to the unusual wintry start to spring, the Streets Division announces one extra yard waste pickup.

This extra and final yard waste collection round for the spring of 2018 will begin on Monday, April 30. Residents wishing to utilize curbside yard waste pickup should place their material to the curb prior to April 30 in order to ensure collection for the upcoming final round of the spring.

The Streets Division wanted to ensure that as many residents as possible could experience the convenience of curbside collection this spring. Once this final pickup occurs, residents will need to bring yard waste to a drop-off site until the start of the fall leaf collection season.

Before placing yard waste to the curb, go to www.cityofmadison.com/yardwaste and click the Pickup Schedule button.

If your neighborhood is marked “Pickup Pending” place yard waste to the curb and crews will be around to collect it soon.

If your neighborhood is marked “Season Over,” do not place yard waste to the curb, and instead take it to a drop-off site.

The drop-off sites are located at 1501 W. Badger Rd. on the southwest side, 4602 Sycamore Ave. on the east side, and 402 South Point Rd. on the far west side. Please note that the South Point Rd. site only accepts yard waste. All three sites are open 8:30am to 4:30pm seven days a week, and until 8:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These hours will remain in effect until Sunday, December 2.
