On Monday, July 3rd, InterCon Construction will open the intersection of East Mifflin Street and North Few Street.  This intersection had been closed for two weeks for installation of MG&E underground utilities.

InterCon will then close the eastbound traffic lanes of the block of East Mifflin Street between Few Street and Baldwin Street to finish the underground utility work within that block.  This closure will last approximately two weeks.  Following that work, InterCon will work in the eastbound traffic lane of East Mifflin Street between Ingersoll Street and Few Street.

Pedestrian access will remain open at all times. Bikes should use the signed bike detour on East Dayton Street.

This is part of the Madison Gas & Electric underground utility project on East Mifflin Street that includes the three blocks between North Ingersoll Street and North Dickinson Street. Only one block or one intersection will be worked on at a time.

Additional news releases will be sent as work progresses to different areas.
