CLEAN AIR ACTION DAY: Free Rides on Metro

Wednesday, August 1, 2007 - 11:07am

Thursday, August 2

A Clean Air Action Day has been called for Thursday, August 2. Metro Transit provides FREE Rides on Clean Air Action Days.

What is a Clean Air Action Day? It is part of a larger, voluntary campaign to help maintain Dane County's air quality. Riding Metro will help reduce ground-level ozone that could reach unhealthy levels for sensitive groups -active adults, children, older adults and people with asthma who are outside for long periods of time.

A Clean Air Action Day will be called for the following day when the air quality data and weather conditions indicate that ozone is predicted to reach a high level in Dane County.

For more information, call 608/266-9063 or check out www.cleanairdane.org. It all adds up to cleaner air.
