Most residents will receive their fifth and final brush collection opportunity during the month of September

The City of Madison Streets Division would like to remind residents that your final curbside brush collection opportunity for 2022 is fast approaching.

Most residents will receive their fifth and final opportunity for curbside brush collection during the month of September.

You can learn the dates when you should set out brush for pickup by going to our website, www.cityofmadison.com/BrushCollection.

Enter your address into the form, and you will see the dates when you can set out brush for pickup.

Drop-off Sites
Residents can also take brush to a Streets Division drop-off site.

All drop-off sites accept brush. Residents are restricted to one trip day to the sites, and the single load is limited to approximately what would fit into a standard pickup truck bed or single-axle trailer. You will also be asked to provide proof of residency to accept your material. Contractors may not use the drop-off sites for brush.

The hours and locations of the sites are different in 2022 than in years past.

Visit our drop-off site webpage top learn the locations, hours, and restrictions.

The webpage is www.cityofmadison.com/DropOffSites.

Why does brush collection end in September?
The same individuals that collect brush are the people who collect leaves in the fall.

Brush collection needs to end in September so the personnel is available to provide curbside leaf and yard waste collection that begins in October.
