Madison Parks, in partnership with Dane County and the City of Monona are providing free access to boaters on Saturday, June 22, 2019. Boaters will be able to use boat launches with no permit required at the following sites:

  • Fish Lake: Lussier County Park
  • Lake Mendota: Marshall, Spring Harbor, Warner, and Tenney Parks
  • Lake Monona: Law, Winnequah Trail, Tonyawatha, and Olbrich Parks
  • Lake Waubesa: Babcock, Goodland and Lake Farm County Parks
  • Lake Kegonsa: Fish Camp County Park
  • Yahara River: Lottes Park

In addition, the Dane County Tenney Boat Lock will be open for free passage for boaters to use on Saturday, June 22. This free day provides an opportunity for all boaters to enjoy lake access facilities.

A boat launch permit is regularly $8/day and $40/annual for Dane County residents and may be purchased online.

Note: Olin boat launch is closed Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 30 for Shake the Lake.
