Madison Building Inspectors have notified the owners of the office and restaurant building at 131 West Wilson that the building conditions have been verified to be safe to open.

Due to safety concerns the building was first closed in September but reopened after proper steps had been taken to stabilize the structure in October.  After learning that work on monitoring had stopped, the building was again closed and vacated in December.

Staff will continue to work with the owner of the building to ensure proper monitoring and safety precautions are continued to maintain the stability of the structure. The owner was notified of the change today.
