State Street Plan

The City  reconstructed the 700/800 Blocks of State Street in 2014. The two blocks will undergo complete reconstruction including concrete sidewalk, lighting, storm sewer, sanitary sewer and water main improvements. Construction is planned to begin May 19, 2014. View the State Street Final Design.

Public Meetings

A public preconstruction meeting was held on Tuesday April 29 at 10 AM in the Memorial Union 800 Langdon St., Class of 1924 Reception Room. View the State Street Preconstruction Slides.

A public information meeting regarding the final design of this project was held on December 5th, 2013 from 7pm to 9pm at the Lowell Center, 610 Langdon Street, Madison, WI in rooms B-1A and B-1B. The design team provided a short presentation and opened up the meeting to comments and questions. View the December 5, 2013 State Street Library Mall Presentation.

The City held a public information meeting on April 23, 2013 regarding this project. There was a presentation and breakout sessions for public to provide input on the project.
