This project is completed and is NOT related to the Nakoosa Trail Fleet/Fire/Radio Shop Facility project. 

The City completed the study in 2016, however, the project was canceled. 


New Bus Barn

The project is a master planning study and preliminary design of a Satellite Bus Facility for Metro Transit, including building and site development, located at Nakoosa Trail and Commercial Avenue in Madison, Wisconsin. The Metro Transit Satellite Bus Facility will include areas for bus storage, bus wash, maintenance and repairs, parts and materials, operations, and administration offices. The building will be around 165,000 square feet. It will accommodate up to twenty (20) 40-foot standard buses and thirty-six (36) 60-foot articulated buses. Site development will include around 5.75 acres of land.
