Voters who are hospitalized may appoint pdf someone to bring their absentee ballot from the Clerk's Office to the hospital. Regardless of where the hospital is located, the absentee ballot needs to come from the Clerk's Office for the municipality in which the voter resides. The Clerk's Office may issue absentee ballots for hospitalized voters until 5 p.m. on Election Day.

Hospitalized absentee ballots must be delivered to the appropriate polling place by 8 p.m. in order to be counted. The agent appointed by the absentee voter may deliver the ballot to the Clerk's Office for delivery to the polls, or may take the ballot directly to the voter's polling location.
