The City of Madison Department of Civil Rights, in collaboration with the Division of Engineering, announces the "2010 Public Works Contractor Awards for Focused Affirmative Action Initiatives and Results."

The awards will be presented on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. at the Larry D. Nelson Engineering Operations Facility, 1600 Emil Street, Madison, WI.

FAAIR (Focused Affirmative Action Initiatives and Results) Awards will be presented to seven contractors that have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments in the areas of targeted business goal achievement, workforce diversity, prevailing wage compliance, small business enterprise excellence and overall good faith efforts in the last year. The names of award recipients with information on their accomplishments will be available at and following the awards ceremony.
