what is NORMAL? profiles five Madisonians with disabilities who grew up in state institutions. The film contrasts the barren environment at the institutions to the rich engagement in the community life the five now experience. All of them bring the viewer into their daily lives and show the diversity and productivity they have found in work, relationships and artistic expression.
