The public is encouraged to attend the January meeting of the Madison Arts Commission to hear the three artists chosen as finalists for the Pennsylvania Park Public Art Project present their proposals for artwork that they would like to create for the park at 1915 E. Johnson Street.

In November, three artists were invited to propose eye-catching pieces for this highly visible location that will be enjoyed by the residents in the adjacent Emerson East Neighborhood, ped/bike commuters, Madison East High School students traveling along the City bike path, tourists driving past the park on their way to the Dane County Airport, automobile commuters traveling along E. Johnson St., and visitors to the future Madison Public Market.

On Tuesday, January 9, you will have the chance to view the artists' concept sketches and hear their thinking about how the proposed designs will enhance the site. Each artist will have 20 minutes to present and 10-15 minutes for question and answers.
