Cool off this summer with Madison Parks and Brittingham Boats at the "Learn to Kayak" workshop! This free Learn to Kayak workshop is a great way for Madisonians to learn new paddling skills so they can get out on the water and enjoy all that Madison lakes have to offer.

This event is accessible to all thanks to the Madison Spinal Cord Injury, a chapter of the United Spinal Association. Adaptive tandem and single kayaks will be available with assistance provided by the University of Wisconsin - PT doctorate students.  We hope you can join us!

The workshop will be held at Brittingham Boats Beach House at 701 W. Brittingham Place, Madison 53715 on Wednesday, July 15 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Staff members of Brittingham Boats will lead this workshop for beginners and provide some basic information about choosing equipment and proper techniques. There will also be demonstrations and time to practice your new skills.

All ages and experience levels are welcome to participate. This event is free to attend; however, due to the popularity of the program we are asking those interested in attending to register by calling our Madison Parks Office at (608) 266-4711.
