Every year the Yahara Fishing Club sponsors this event, which is on the same weekend that an adult fishing license is not required.   This year it will be June 2, 2018, at the Warner Park Lagoon from 9:00 am to noon. The first 300 kids receive a free fishing rod and bait along with help from our members.  A free lunch of hot dogs, chips, and a soft drink will be provided after the fishing. All members are encouraged to show up early to prepare the rods and other gear, and to hang around to help the kids and their parents, many of whom have never fished before. It is quite a bit of fun.
