As part of the dedication of “Both/And--Tolerance/Innovation” by the artist team David Dahlquist and Matt Niebuhr of RDG Dahlquist Studios, the co-directors of Resonance Madison are programming a live outdoor jazz improvisation performance, at the site of Madison’s newest piece of large-scale public art at the confluence where the city and campus flow together. This event will lead to the official start of the Resonance Madison.

Resonance Madison is a site-specific performance experimenting to cross the boundaries between performance and visual arts, people and landscape, and classical and contemporary arts. It will take place at Memorial Union Terrace and Alumni Park at 8:30pm. Performances will also be live-streamed to the large screen on the Union Terrace Stage and to social media platforms online.

Resonance Madison is a collaboration between Bolz Center for Arts Administration, Wisconsin Alumni Association, Wisconsin Union, and XCreation and is sponsored with placemaking funds from the City of Madison and the Downtown Business Improvement District.
