Bring your own paddle (no motor) craft to the Upper Yahara River in Cherokee Marsh for a guided tour of Dane County's largest publicly owned wetland.  "We’ll look for birds and other wildlife and learn about Madison Parks efforts to preserve this aquatic habitat from shoreline erosion," says Russ Hefty, Madison Parks Conservationist leading the river trip.

To join the group, meet at the boat landing at the north end of School Road. The tour will depart promptly at 8:09 am.  No registration is required. The trip will last approximately 2 hours and cover approximately 1 1/2 miles and then return.
