Warner Park: 140 Bird Species and Counting! with Trish O'Kane
Trish O'Kane helped found Wild Warner and has spent countless hours in the park as part of her UW doctoral candidate research observing birds from Grey Catbirds to species 140 the Eastern Meadowlark. She also established the Last Child in the Park program that brings Sherman Middle School kids and UW student mentors to Warner Park every Wednesday during the school year.
Walks at Warner Park the 3rd Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City partners Wild Warner and Madison Audubon. Meet at the colorful Warner Park Shelter by the lagoon. Parking is available nearby.
