Join the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in partnership with WiLS, for a free, four-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) that explores the weather, seasons and changing climate of the Great Lakes Region. The MOOC will share important data while focusing on people and communities adjusting to changing weather and climate. “Changing Weather and Climate in the Great Lakes Region” begins on February 23, 2015, and all learners are welcome to participate. Steve Ackerman, Professor of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences and Director of the Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies (CIMSS) at the UW-Madison, will be at Central Library for facilitated discussions on climate issues in Wisconsin.
