Bird & Nature Walk - Turville Point Conservation Park - FREE
Celebrate Mothers’ Day with a beautiful nature walk at Turville Point Conservation Park with Chuck Henrikson
Chuck Henrikson will lead a free family friendly walk on easy hiking paths to look for returning birds and listen to their songs. Along the way we will enjoy seeing spring flowers, fresh new green leaves and sparkling blue water on the lake. Discover the scenic paths and hidden natural areas in four beautiful Madison area parks and conservancies throughout the seasons. Trained naturalist and volunteer walk leaders share their enthusiasm about nature and the trees, flowers, butterflies, birds, and animals we see along the way. Enjoy kid friendly healthy outdoor nature recreation and fascinating nature education close to home!
Walks are free and informal and no registration is required. Weather and trail conditions vary from week to week. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear and be prepared for potential mosquitoes. Dogs are not allowed. Binoculars, cameras and children are welcome! For more information or to volunteer, contact Paul Noeldner (608) 698-0104.
Walks at Turville Point the 2nd Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Friends of Olin Turville and Madison Audubon. Meet at the Turville parking lot from John Nolen Drive at the railroad tracks.
