A Turkey Thanksgiving with Paul Noeldner  ~ Turkeys have their favorite Thanksgiving dinners too!  Join Naturalist Paul Noeldner to take a walk at the Preserve to look for birds, food sources, and signs of foraging. What do different kinds of birds like to eat?  How are their bills, feet, and bodies adapted to help them access what they like? Enjoy hot chocolate afterward.  We may have a campfire at Fire Pit 2 depending on the weather.

Join a naturalist for a family-friendly nature walk starting at Picnic Point to discover the UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve including historic woodlands, native mounds, restored Biocore Prairie and beautiful Lake Mendota shoreline. Walks at UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve the 4th Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve and Madison Audubon Society. Meet at the Picnic Point parking lot on University Bay Drive. Contact 608-698-0104. No registration required. No pets are allowed.
