Walk Like a Crane with Alex Kerr and AJ Binney ~ Join Alex Kerr, International Crane Foundation Conservation Outreach representative and AJ Binney, new ICF Alabama Whooping Crane representative as we explore the importance of crane conservation through a wetland walk.  On this eduational nature hike we'll look at habitat that promotes crane conservation.  What does our world look like from the viewpoint of a Sandhill Crane?  If you’re lucky, we may see a resident pair of cranes and their colts!

Join a naturalist for a family-friendly nature walk starting at Picnic Point to discover the UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve including historic woodlands, native mounds, restored Biocore Prairie and beautiful Lake Mendota shoreline. Walks at UW Lakeshore Nature Preserve the 4th Sunday every month are co-sponsored by Madison Bird City FUN partners Friends of the Lakeshore Nature Preserve and Madison Audubon Society.
