Water Critters and Water Quality with Lance Green ~ Join Starkweather advocate Lance Green for a free, fun, family and kid friendly walk along Starkweather Creek in the heart of Madison's East Side just off East Washington Avenue. Keeping our creeks and lakes clean and healthy is important to all of us from the tiniest to the largest.  Come and help Lance dip water samples along the creek and look for tiny water critters!

NOTE:  **This outing will begin at the corner of Clyde Gallaher Ave. and Hermina St. Meet here or nearby Worthington Park with a short walk to this location. **

Outings in the Starkweather Creek area are held year-round on the 3rd Saturday of each month beginning 10:00am. The starting location varies each month and is often from the Goodman Community Center. Outings include nature walks, canoe/kayak adventures, bicycling tours and more, and are sponsored by the Madison Friends of Urban Nature, Madison Parks, Goodman Community Center, Madison Audubon Society, and Friends of Starkweather Creek. Free, family-friendly nearby nature recreation, no registration required, no pets.
